Description
This is a traditional Jhumki Phulkari ,made of Khaddar and having upper and lower borders embroidered in Soof style. Entire body is covered with rows of Jhumki motifs seperated form each other by simple lines. Jhumki represent a ear ornament which is very popular amongst the Punjabi women folk.. Well defined Pallus adorned with Kata (Cross) pattern are made both ends. Conventiolly, silk threads is used for embroidering whereas cotton thread is used for white color. White , offwhite,orange and megenta colors are used with lemon yellow at few places
This phulkari is about 50-60 years old .
