Description
Kahlua got its start in 1936 in Veracruz, Mexico when the Alvarez brothers got local businessman Señor Blanco to add their recently harvested coffee beans to a liquor Blanco was already developing. In the 1950s, Jules Berman an avid fan of Pre-Columbian art figures and an entrepreneur introduced it to the US by way of legendary ads, this being one among them. Eventually, Kahlua was partially acquired in 2005 by Pernod Ricard and paved its way to becoming the number one coffee liqueur in the world.
