Marketed by HMV as the ‘World’s finest portable’ was manufactured and sold till 1960. This colonial model was manufactured in Calcutta, British India for upper-class Indians and British officers, has a longer internal horn with a wider swan neck tone arm, and is made in teak— which makes it a rare find, because most of gramophones produced by HMV were made in leather.
