Description
Description
Made between 1900-1920 by Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur or Royal Dux in Dux, Bohemia (now Duchcov, Czech Republic), the art nouveau centerpieces depict beautiful maidens carrying lily pads and a water shell— both symbolic of the fluid art movement which aimed at recapitulating nature in design, by breaking the barriers of eclectic methodology. These figurines serve as an excellent symbol of one of the most crucial chapters in the world history of art.
