Archie comics are one of the most sought after collectible comics series. Archie have made a mark across the globe, especially in Europe and US. Even in India, it was the most dominating comics as there was not much of competition from the domestic publishers. Archies is something a lot of people can relate to and is as much a collectible as a nostalgic factor for people. In March 2011, a copy of Archie Comics #1, first published in 1942, was sold at auction for $167,300, a record for a non-superhero comic book.
